For women preparing for pregnancy, a healthy uterine environment is a key factor for successful implantation.
Before undergoing IVF treatment, it is essential to perform a hysteroscopy. After menstruation has cleared, a very thin endoscope is inserted through the cervix into the uterus to examine the uterine cavity and check for abnormalities such as polyps, adhesions, fibroids, or malformations.

These abnormalities are often hard to detect through ultrasound but may be one of the causes of recurrent implantation failure or unexplained infertility.
According to clinical studies, the presence of polyps in the uterine cavity can reduce embryo implantation rates by half. Therefore, if polyps are found in the uterus, regardless of size, it is recommended to remove them before proceeding with further treatment.

Identifying and addressing these issues promptly can improve the uterine environment and increase the chances of embryo implantation and pregnancy.
Carefully examining every step and eliminating potential factors that affect implantation is key to a successful IVF journey.
